About

Matt Senter.

Matt Senter is a founder, entrepreneur, and CTO based in Durham, NC. He has spent 30 years writing software professionally and has founded or co-founded 11 companies and products. He is currently CTO at Superlogic, the rewards infrastructure company behind BookIt, a white-labeled platform covering 20M+ tickets, 2M+ hotel stays, and 2,000+ premium brands. His past ventures include Lolli (bitcoin shopping rewards, where he built engineering from zero through Series A), Cosmic (a commerce gateway acquired by POPSUGAR and later Rakuten), SeedMatrix (acquired by Context Network), and Senternet (one of the first Java web hosting companies, sold in 2002). Alongside his day job he ships independent products: StockCar, Premail, Comoji, and Burly, and he co-founded Bee Ready, a non-profit teaching CPR and AED skills to youth athletes.

What I do

I build things. Mostly software, occasionally companies. The throughline across 30 years has been the founder-to-engineer feedback loop: getting a real product in front of real people as fast as possible, then letting what they actually do reshape it. Some of those products have worked better than others. Both kinds taught me something worth keeping.

These days my time splits between Superlogic, where I am CTO, and a handful of small, opinionated products I build and ship on my own. The independent work is where I get to keep my hands directly on the craft: privacy-first desktop tools, an AI audio app, and utilities I wanted to exist and could not find.

Track record

  • 30 years coding for money, starting in the late 1990s
  • 11 companies and products founded or co-founded
  • Currently CTO at Superlogic (since November 2023)
  • Built engineering from zero through Series A at Lolli
  • Cosmic acquired by POPSUGAR, then Rakuten
  • SeedMatrix acquired by Context Network
  • Senternet, an early Java web host, sold in 2002

What I am building now

My current projects span iOS, macOS, desktop, and the web. The full case studies live on the projects page, and I write about the work on the blog.
